Set of Dynamometers
Product Code : SCL-PL-11810
Set of Dynamometers (SKU SCL-PL-11810) is a set of six colour-coded tubular spring balances that read both mass in grams or kilograms and force in newtons, from 250 g / 2.5 N up to 5 kg / 50 N. They are general-purpose force meters for school and college physics practicals. The balances are manufactured by Science Lab Supplies in its Saha, Ambala factory at Plot 448, HSIIDC Industrial Area, India, and are quoted from there to schools, colleges, tender contractors and distributors.
Specifications
The six ranges and the build of the dynamometer set are given one row each in the table. In short, each balance is an individually calibrated acrylic tubular spring balance in a transparent tube with dual gram and newton scales, a zero-adjustment device at the top, a stainless steel suspension loop and a load hook.

Applications and Experiments for the Set of Dynamometers
The dynamometers are used wherever a force must be measured or a load weighed: pulling a block against friction, checking the tension in a string, or showing that weight in newtons equals mass times g. The six ranges cover light school loads up to 50 N.
- NCERT Class 9 science (Gravitation): distinguishing mass from weight using the dual scale.
- NCERT Class 11 physics (Laws of Motion): measuring friction by pulling the c-hook of a Pair of Wooden Friction Blocks with Hooks, and tension forces.
- Class 11 practical work on Hooke's law: comparing extension and load.
- Inclined plane, pulley and lever experiments in school physics, for example lifting a load over a cast metal Fixed Pulley.
Standard Scope of Supply
The set contains six spring balances: 250 g / 2.5 N (blue), 500 g / 5 N (green), 1000 g / 10 N (grey), 2 kg / 20 N (red), 3 kg / 30 N (white) and 5 kg / 50 N (yellow), each with zero adjustment, suspension loop and load hook.
Packing, MOQ and Lead Time
A quotation can be raised for one set or for as many sets as your practical groups need, with packing, delivery time and price stated for that quantity. Other school physics lab equipment in India from this range can be listed on it too.
Supported by an Importer-Exporter Code, Science Lab Supplies can ship to buyers in Malaysia, Peru, Egypt, Iraq, Nigeria and Kenya. Note how many dynamometer sets your groups need on the contact page or in the enquiry cart for a price, and see the lab tender page for bid-based purchases.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which ranges are in the Set of Dynamometers?
Six ranges: 2.5 N, 5 N, 10 N, 20 N, 30 N and 50 N, matching 250 g, 500 g, 1000 g, 2 kg, 3 kg and 5 kg on the gram scale, each in its own colour.
Do the balances read in newtons and grams?
Yes. Each is a dual-scale spring balance marked in grams and newtons, so the same balance serves both mass and force measurement during a practical without changing instruments.
Is Science Lab Supplies the manufacturer or a trader?
These dynamometers are produced in the company's own Saha, Ambala plant in India, so Science Lab Supplies is the manufacturer and issues each quotation from the plant directly.
How is the zero set?
Each balance has a zero-adjustment device at the top, so the scale can be returned to zero before each reading is taken, including after a hook or holder is attached.
